Answers to the most common questions about WIMA PARIS creations, 18K gold, natural VS/F diamonds, piercing, warranty and after-sales service.
Which materials do you use?
All creations are made in solid 18K gold — yellow, white or rose. No plating, no vermeil. Set stones are exclusively natural diamonds at VS/F clarity minimum. The maison does not offer synthetic, lab-grown or treated stones.
What is the warranty?
WIMA PARIS protects every creation with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, hidden workmanship issues and structural defects related to production quality (setting, soldering, clasps). The warranty excludes normal wear, impacts, accidents, misuse, loss, theft and any intervention by an unauthorised third party. Beyond the warranty, the maison offers transparent maintenance, polishing and repair services.
Do I need to be pierced?
No. The Ear Cuffs collection — and especially The Earcuff — composes the ear without any piercing. Ideal for testing a placement before commitment.
Healing times by zone?
Lobe: 3–6 weeks. Helix: 6–9 months. Tragus: 4–8 months. Conch: 6–12 months. Daith: 6–9 months. Flat: 6–12 months. Averages — each body heals at its own pace.
Returns?
14 days for non-placement jewellery, in original packaging and unworn. 48 hours for placement jewellery (studs and hoops), unworn, for hygiene reasons. Bespoke pieces are not refundable.
Delivery?
Delivery and returns are complimentary within Metropolitan France via insured carrier with required signature. Orders are prepared within 2 to 5 working days, with average dispatch in 2 working days. International shipping is insured and charged according to destination. Each piece travels in a WIMA PARIS signature case with its certificate of authenticity.
Bespoke?
Yes. Bespoke service runs in the private showroom: project study, sketch, validation, fabrication. Lead time 6 to 12 weeks depending on complexity.
Care?
Mild soapy water, soft brush for set stones, chamois drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and remove pieces for swimming. Annual maintenance service available on request.
